The loomis head approach yielded the following image, which summarizes the face dimensions. A scale was added to demonstrate that the distance between the eyes is equal to the length of an eye. The ear clearly sits between the eyes and nose, and its height varies based on the angle of the head. For example, as the head tilts up, the ears lower than the eyes, and as the head tilts down, the eyes rise above the ears. Here's a diagram depicting the head's proportions in respect to the ribcage (upper torso). Although the diagram depicts a female physique and ribcage, in fact, a female's ribcage is somewhat smaller and shorter than a male's. The distance between the top of the head and the pit of the neck is nearly equal to the length of the ribcage in males!
