https://www.islamicfinder.org/news/translation-of... 28 February 2018 All praise is due to Allah, the Sustainer of all worlds, the Merciful, the Beneficent, and the Lord of the Day of Judgment. We worship You alone, and we come to You alone for assistance. Bring us down the right route, the path of those You have favored, not the path of those who have earned Your anger or (of those who) have gone astray.
He recited the tashahhud of âUmar on the minbar to educate the people: âAt-tahiyyaatu Lillaahi, az-zaakiyaatu Lillaahi, al-tayyibaatu Lillaahi, al-salawaatu Lillaahi. Assalamu alayka ayyuha nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allaahi wa barakaatuhu. As-salaamu alayna wa ibaad-Illaah is-saaliheen. Ash-hadu a laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan âabduhu wa rasooluhu (All praise is due to Allah, all pure things are due to Allah, all pure words are due to Allah, and all prayers are due to Allah). Peace be upon you, O Prophet, as well as the kindness and blessings of Allaah. Peace be upon us and on Allaah's virtuous servants. I give testimony that none else but Allaah has the right to be worshiped, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).

Attahiyat's Advantages What are some of the benefits of Tahiyat? Tahiyat is when we pay our respects to the Ruler of heaven and earth, who is praised, worshiped, and honored. In attahiyat, four types of honor are mentioned: A particular homage to al-Khalid, our Creator, using words that begin with the letter a a (all accolades/congratulations) With the words '3', we show our respect for Allah's Messenger. §Ã™
Ù 1 (May peace be with you) With the words'respect and prosperity over ourselves,' §Ã™
Ù 1 (peace be upon us) Respect and prosperity for all of Allah's devoted slaves with the phrases 1. —————————————————————————— ° (pious servants) After we have declared respect and success on all of God's pious servants, we reaffirm our membership in a big group of God's pious creatures in this world by pronouncing shahadah. This demonstrates that their testimony that there is no God but Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is Allah's messenger is identical to their testimony. Our confidence in Allah and His prophet is equally same to theirs.
This is just one interpretation of the Attahiyat; in a distinct narration in Sunan Abu Dawud's Sahih (Al-Albani) hadith 971, it is narrated as follows:

As-salaamu alayna wa ibaad-Illaah is-saaliheen. Ash-hadu a laa ill-Allaah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan âabduhu wa rasooluhu

By mastering both, you would have fulfilled all of Prophet Muhammad's (saws) Sunnah about tashadud. Why restrict yourself to reciting in a single manner? Now, if this is tough for you, do what you can. Maintain the version given to you when you first learnt to pray salat; there is no fault in reciting one over the other or not saying it at all.
What exactly is Atthiyat?
Attahiyat is a vital âDuaâ we recite everyday in our prayers. It is the exact dua that we say in a specified manner at the conclusion of the Prayer's last Rakâah. A simple comparison might assist us in comprehending the significance of Attahiyaat. Every excellent narrative, speech, paper, or even meeting concludes with the most critical point. While salah is a meeting between a man and his Creator ALLAH SWT., it is reasonable to anticipate something magnificent at the conclusion of such a deliberate and unique session. That is why salaah concludes with a strong cum dua of praise.

âAllah's Messenger would teach us the Tashah-hud in the same way that he taught us the Qur'an. At-Tahiyyatu, al mubarakatu, as-salawatu at-tayyibatu, he would say. Lillah. Salamun alaika, ayyuhan-naibiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu, salamun alaina wa ala ibadalillahis-salihin, salamun alaina wa ala ibadalillahis-salihin. Ashadu a la ilaha illallahu, ashadu a Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasuluh.â (All salutations, goodwill, prayers, and clean speech are addressed to Allah. May Allah's compassion and blessings be upon you, O Prophet, and may Allah's kindness and blessings be upon us and all of Allah's righteous followers. I attest that there is none other than Allah deserving of adoration, and I attest that Muhammad is Allah's worshipper and Messenger.)
Because the wordings change and the last tashadud may only be said once, which version, bukhari or abu dawood, shall you recite?
The key is to memorize both versions' attahiyat and alternate between them. Perhaps one day you will read the bukhari version of attahiyat for fajr, dhur, and maghrib and the abu dawood version for asr and isha. This is all up to you.

Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) stated: "While praying behind the Prophet (o), we used to recite: Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon such and so." One day, the Messenger of Allah (o) addressed us as follows: Verily, Allah is Peace. When any of you sits during the prayer, he should say: All good deeds, all acts of devotion, and all good things are due to Allah. May Allah's peace and blessings be with you, O Prophet. May Allah's peace be upon us and his upright slaves, because when he says this, it reaches every upright servant in the heavens and the earth. (And continue by saying): I attest that there is no deity but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Then he may submit whatever petition that pleases him.
