Most drow art/portraits, even those discovered through Google or DeviantArt, fail to capture my idea of dark elves from the forgotten lands. This is despite the fact that I've been pleased by most of the art that I've seen on the forums, notably by artastrophe. Either it's too cartoony, too World of Warcraft-y (totally blegh! ), or it's too sexualized when depicting dark elves in fantasy art. When it comes to the wicked drow of the realms, I'm simply not impressed with the art and pictures that have been put out there. However, I have found more male drow art appealing to my preferences, which is unfortunate, given the superiority of the female drow over their male counterparts.
