Venti is typically shown as protecting or comforting Xiao in fanfiction and fanart. While most ships have been made up of characters from the same area, such as Xingyun, JeanLisa, and others. XiaoVen is one of the few ships with two characters from distinct locations, and it is presently the only ship with one character from Liyue and the other from Mondstadt. While Xiao is loyal to Morax and Liyue, and most likely does not leave its grounds, Venti is renowned for his free-spirited/wandering disposition, and has canonically visited Liyue numerous times to have a drink with his fellow Archon, leading to the events shown in Xiao's trailers (eg. Venti playing a dihua flute and helping Xiao with his karmic debt).

Jean's skill set is a good reflection of her personality. She is a workaholic who does everything herself. As a result, Jean enjoys filling in for a variety of positions in the party. So, technically, there is a decent location for both of them. If you just want Xiao and don't care about the other characters on his banner, perform your 80 pulls on the Venti Banner and get some solid Xingling/Fischl/Barbara pulls and dupes, then when his banner appears, you roll the 90th one and grab one of the 5stars.
