This NightI gaze up at the sky, hoping to lose myself in this night. As that golden cresent skims the edge of the globe and flies into vacuum and space, the Moon is cunning and grants me sight. What wonderful lights glitter overhead, I wonder as I look up? Planets whiz by in orbits that arc across the brilliant sky. The hazy white radiance of many more stars remains overhead, dividing the world into two distinct spheres. They are the indestructible orbs fashioned by no mortal hands, and they glow into my eyes. I cry with excitement because I witness the beauty and simplicity of life. Tonight, I want to forget myself as my feet lighten and float out into space. If I were merely light, I could leave Earth and eternity would be but a moment. And, since my spirit might be everywhere and everywhere, this night could last forever. I stare up at the sky and want to become one with the night.
