A thirty-four-year-old shut-in who had been harassed, insulted, and oppressed all of his life nevertheless had the courage to do something heroic, only to have it end in a horrible accident. Rudeus Greyrat, a baby born to loving parents, wakes in another planet as a result of a quirk of destiny. Rudeus easily adjusts to his new surroundings since he retains his memories and knowledge from his prior existence. It is only after working with a magician called Roxy Migurdia that he begins to demonstrate magical prowess that surpasses all expectations. Rudeus is taught swordplay by his father, Paul, and rapidly falls in love with Sylphite, a girl his same age. With his second shot at life beginning, Rudeus attempts to take advantage of it while overcoming the tragedy of his past. Also, maybe he'll discover something he couldn't in his previous life: love.
Yuka Fujikawa's manga adaptation of Mushoku Tensei will debut in the June issue of Monthly Comic Flapper, it was revealed in the May edition.
