Plot She was initially seen approaching Rudeus and transporting him securely to the Citadel of Roa. When Rudeus' plot failed, Eris and Rudeus were abducted once again and almost killed, but Ghislaine intervened just in time and rescued both of them by killing the captors. After Rudeus was recruited as Eris' tutor, she was also instructed by him, and she persuaded Eris that math and literacy were vital after relating her story of being conned earlier. Later, on Eris' tenth birthday, Rudeus saw that she was hungry, but since she was a guard on duty, she was unable to join the other guests for dinner. Rudeus, in a kind gesture, requested that a maid put up a private party with food in his chamber. Rudeus presented both of them with wands, denoting that they had successfully completed their tests; she was pleased to receive this gift, once again serving as an example to Eris. She would then give Eris a ring that had been handed down through her family as a keepsake of her.
